Bargain Summer Air Fares Will Get You Here; These Cruises Will Complete Your Vacation

The New York Times Travel section today identified world-class destinations for which you can still score bargain airfares for this summer. You can read the article here. We retweeted that with a suggestion to visit one of the cities, and then board a ship to cruise the region.

Here are our suggestions for mid-market to premium ships. Some are larger than we usually recommend, but they are in the right port at the right time throughout much of the summer. Ask your cruise agent for any other benefits, discounts, or on board spending allowances. These are not all-inclusive cruise lines. Add the cost of gratuities, beverages, and "alternate" dining into your budget.
