Cunard has dropped prices to $1,099 for a balcony on its August 26 seven night transatlantic sailing from New York, creating another opportunity to exploit your Labor Day vacation break and spend the holiday on Monday, Sept. 2 in London.

  • Maureen Ryan - Ex-Assistant Purser & Social Hostess, Cunard. Known to many as Queen Victoria’s Madrina and the only person to have served on Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth, QE2 and Queen Mary 2, Maureen started her long career with Cunard as an assistant purser and later social hostess. Taking a break from sea life, Maureen worked as a PA in the Foreign Office in London, and British Embassies in Addis Ababa and Paris, later rejoining Cunard as a social hostess on QE2, Cunard Countess, Cunard Princess and Queen Mary 2.
